usher's ministry

What is a key focus of our fellowship? And how do the ushers facilitate that?

Matthew 22:37 says, "Jesus said to him, 'You shall love your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind." And, Paul the apostle said in Colossians 3:23, “And whatever you do, do it heartily as to the Lord and not to men..."

Our fellowship is here to worship and praise the Lord Jesus Christ. To this end, the Usher's Ministry helps to keep the focus of the fellowship on worshipping through the music, through giving, and in sharing the Word. We serve the immediate needs of the service. We are available to assist in any way, especially as needed by the pastor and elders. Our hope is to reduce distractions and concerns as much as possible, with the guidance of the Lord.

The Ushers are here to serve, humbly and gratefully. We check on the facilities for safety and for order. We greet the fellowship, we assist, we respond to requests and questions, and we guide members to places they may need to go. We also assist in collecting the offerings and serving the communion elements. We are alert to all that may be needed and to the security of the fellowship, so that the pastor and the congregation can focus on the worship of the Lord.

The Lord watches over the fellowship and the campus, and the ushers ultimately serve Him. We are His "Watchmen."

If you feel led and have a desire to serve the Lord through greeting others and supporting the pastoral staff, we would welcome you to this ministry.
